Career Guidance Camp organized by SCOPE

Members of the faculty from Delhi University from Motilal Nehru, Deshbandhu and Hindu college were invited to provide answers to the questions posed by the aspiring students.
Society for Career Orientation and Promotion of Education (SCOPE), a non-governmental organization, has been offering help in every possible aspect to the needy students from far-off places of India like the North East region since its inception in December 2002.

Counseling session in Delhi for students on 1st July

Members of the faculty from Delhi University will be there to provide answers to the questions posed by the aspiring students. Questions regarding admission process and other related subjects would be handled by them.

Dr. Arun Kumar Sarma, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Dr. Purabi Saikia Head of Dept. Physics, Motilal Nehru College,Dr. Deboshree Goswami Hindu College and Arti Barua member of faculty, Deshbandhu College will be among the prominent members of the counseling body. Members from the team of SCOPE would also be present at the venue.

The portal has been dedicated to the name of the great myrtyr of the nation, Late Parag Kumar Das. The portal includes e-mail service, chatting, news, history of Assam, e-book, e-cards, and many more. All the Assamese people who use to visit the net world are requested to visit us too, and to co-oprate with us. The portal, no doubt, is the re-born web vcersion of the magazine "AAGAN" edited & published by Parag Kumar Das.

Month-long Exhibition of Assamese Culture & Heritage Educates Silicon Valley

The event was held at the India Community Center (ICC: http://www.indiacc.org), Milpitas, California, USA. The entire month of April, 2004 was designated as Assam and Manipur Month at ICC, where Assamese and Manipuri culture and heritage was on display. The enthusiastic volunteers of the Bay Area Assamese and Manipur community put their dynamism together and started their preparations from the month of February with weekly meetings. The month of April was selected because it coincided with Bohag Bihu celebrations, which meant spirits were high among the community members at this time.

The Assamese New Year, which falls on the 14th of April, heralds the month of Bohag and enthuses the essence of spring, beginning the celebration of Bohag Bihu all through-out the month. The celebrations in Bangalore was organized by the Assam Bangalore Co-ordination Forum to bring together the working populace of the city and the student community to celebrate this rich festival with fan fare . It was a good break for all those who attended, specially with the lunch comprising of traditionally cooked assamese delicacies followed by a cultural programme.
