1) secured 1st class in MA (Eco) and did LL.B simultaneously. 2) started my career as a Lecturer in Economics in St Edmunds College, Shillong 3) Did a Multimodal Transport Management course in Belgium on invitation from Government of Belgium 4) Certificate of passing a German Language course 5) Won the following awards: a) Railway Minister's Medal for Meritorious service b) President of India's Silver Star and Silver Elephant Medals for contribution to Scouts movement in India c) Best Quizmaster in Assam Award (twice) d) went to USA as a member of Group Study Exchange team , on a program sponsored by Rotary International e) Represented Indian Railways in an official Delegation to Bangladesh f) Delivered lectures in Singapore and Abu Dhabi on invitation g) Led a business Delegation of IRCTC to Tokyo h) Received an award for the Best Luxury Train in the world (The Maharajas) at Doha I) Won the "Seniors have Talent" singing Contest shield recently. On Professional Service life - Qualified Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) of the 1981 Examination Batch of Civil Services. Retired as Director IRCTC, Ministry of Railways in 2016 . Thereafter, worked as Advisor in RITES, Ministry of Railways New Delhi , OSD to Minister of State for Railways New Delhi and presently working as Advisor Transport, AIWTDS in Government of Assam at Guwahati
