TEZPUR, April 10: Tezpur University is launching an MSc programme in Nanoscience and technology from August this year with the aim of creating professionals in this field of science and technology, a press release stated. The University Grants Commission (UGC), in a gesture of professional appreciation of Tezpur University, has extended its approval and financial support under the \\"Innovative Programmes in Teaching and Research\\". The UGC has already sanctioned a grant of Rs 39.5 lakh for launching the programme. Significantly, this will be the first ever MSc course in Indian universities on nanotechnology which has been hailed as the technology of the immediate future.
