Assam Horticultural Show-2009 (15th State Level Horticultural Show) held at Nehru Maidan, Tezpur from Jan 30 to Feb 3/2009 was unique in the north bank of Assam and highly successful with (a) an full-fledged Exhibition of 60 Stalls of Nurseries, Bio-input producers,& Technology Stalls from NEDFI, National Bamboo Mission,Defence Research Laboratory, Farm Machinery Training Centre, Dr Gunaram Khanikar's Moving Lab of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants Etc, (b) Competitions of Flowers, Vegetables & Horticultural products decorated aesthetically with more than 500 participants including MOMAI TAMULI BARBARUA AWARD 2008-09 for the Best Fruit-gardener of Assam , (c) Quality Seminars & Trainings 11 Nos. with 650 trainees from all corners of Assam with graceful of resource persons from CISH (ICAR), Lucknow,AAU, NEDFi, NERIWALM, DRL, National Bamboo Mission, Department of Agriculture, Assamand Assam Institute of Agril. Management, (d) Live Spot Demo of Grafting by Md Hydar Ali, S/O Haji Hussain Ali Master, Ambagan, (e) Publication of Souvenir 'Udyan Jeuti' & Mouth-piece 'Udyan Sarathi' and (f) Average Daily Footsteps : 2,000 Nos. visiting from all corners of Assam.

Momai Tamuli Barbarua Award 2008-09 for the Best Fruit-gardener of Assam is bagged by Sri Rajesh Singphow, Mugong Pather, Enthem, Tinsukia; with 1st Runners up Sri Kamichan Mili, Baligaon, Sonitpur; and 2nd Runners up Md Nurul Islam, Kathpara, Nagaon Jila.
Award was sponsored by MULTIPLEX consisting of a High-tech Hand Sprayer worth Rs 1,500/-, an Accident Insurance Policy for Rs 25,000/- for one year, Krishak Vermi-compost 1 Pkt, Fulam Gamocha, Fulam Japi, a Diary etc.; 1st Runners up was sponsored by Excel Agri-Tech Industries (EAT-In), Biswanath Chariali consisting of Horticultural Implements worth Rs 750/-, an Accident Insurance Policy for Rs 25,000/- for one year, Vermex Vermi-compost 1 Bag, Fulam Gamocha, Fulam Japi, a Diary etc.;and 2nd Runners up was sponsored by the Assam Horticultural Society, Khanapara, Guwahati-22 consisting of Horticultural Implements worth Rs 650/-, an Accident Insurance Policy for Rs 25,000/- for one year, Krishak Vermi-compost 1 Pkt, Fulam Gamocha, Fulam Japi, a Diary etc.;
