Art and Cooking Contest at Purabi on Feb 14-15

It is also arranging a Cooking Contest among the female participants at the same venue on Sunday the 15th of February.

School children of Guwahati are invited to join the Art Competition by downloading the Entry Form available in the Purabi website and bring them filled as required. They may also obtain the form from the head of the institution/school.

All syndicate-industry and no development

The recent scheme for 350 higher secondary students from each districts for free educational trip to Guwahati may be taken as a case in point. The government says these students will get a personality development scope while they will exchange their views with the students in the city.

Exhibition on Ahom Heritage in Delhi

Photographs of various monuments and other built-heritages of the Ahom Period have been invited for participation. The photos should be of the size 10X12 or 12X15 inches. Interested persons can send any number of photographs. There is no entry fee. Every photo should be enclosed with a short note about its subject. Selected photographs will be displayed in the said exhibition, which is aimed at generating national and international exposure and appreciation. Photographers will also be awarded with certificates.
