Rajasthan Chief Minister met all Rajsthani in Guwahati

Assam Chief minister Sri Tarun Gogoi gave a short presence but had to go to attend othe programme as Sonia Gandhi is coming to Guwahti for 3 days .
The meeting was addressed by Sri Kamal Nath AICCC Gen Secretary, Sri Pawan Singh Ghatowar, President, APPCC(I), Smt Hemprabha Saikia Minister of cultural, and Sri Bhuwneswar Kalita MLA. The group of ladies from Sri Jain mahila samaj, Guwahati Gosala, Terapanti Samaj, Jat Samaj and many other organsations felicited the guests.

Rongali Bihu at IIT, Kharagpur

The participation of some of the local people added more colour to the celebration.

The president of the 'Axomiya Xomaj' of IIT Kharagpur, Dr. Khanindra Pathak, in his address said, “Though we are far away from our home-land, our heart flies to Assam whenever we hear the sounds of 'dhol-chapori'”.

The Assamese community in Hyderabad too celebrated Rongali Bihu with great fervour, complete with traditional games, cultural programme, Bihu dance and feast. Thanks to the enthusiasm of Dr Aroop Jyoti Kalita, Bimal Bhattacharyya, Manoj Mahanta, Sukumar Goswami, Sushanta Sharma, Srabana Lahiri, Amirul Sheik, Jyotirmoy Dutta, Gitali Thakur, Chandrashekhar Barua, Prabalika Borah, Nilotpal Sharma and Co., almost 200 Assamese from all parts of Andhra Pradesh got together for the first time in Hyderabad to participate in the Bihu celebrations.
