According to the university registrar, KK Deka, most of the fresh courses are post graduate diplomas. MSc in bio-informatics is the new post graduate programme that will open up for students.

The major new courses on offer for the students include Bachelor of Information Technology, and introduction of six specialty courses for the B.Com course: accounting & finance, marketing, international business, banking & insurance, e-commerce and human resources management. There is a diploma in oil well drilling technology course on offer. The post graduate diploma courses are in atmospheric sciences, telecommunication, actuarial science, rural development, tea technology & plantation management, statistical techniques and computation, and creative writing. The diploma courses include medical radiographic and imaging technology and physiotherapy.

All the above new courses would be available from the academic session 2007-08.
